6:00 - 10:00pm, Meet Marina Psaros, co-founder of the California King Tides Project, as she discusses the impact of rising sea levels on local communities. Then head over to the Lawrence Livermore National Lab, to learn about the the California drought (Surprise! we're not out of the woods yet!) and buckle up as Evan Variano of UC Berkeley explains how turbulence, clouds, and volcanic eruptions influence our environment.
Lessons in Extreme Weather
(Swamp)
6:00 - 10:00pm, Start off by learning how global climate change might affect our microclimates here in the Bay Area with Lisa Micheli and Nichole Heller from TBC3. Then, learn about California's own extreme weather from SFSU Meteorology Professor, John Monteverdi and learn to create abstract art inspired by extreme weather using ordinary table salt, wax, and watercolors with Green Art Workshop.
