NightLife the Musical
0

Lights, curtains, showtime! For the first ever NightLife the Musical, we’ve teamed up with Berkeley Repertory Theatre to bring you a sneak peek at their upcoming show, Mexodus. Learn about the groundbreaking hip-hop musical that unveils the little-known story of the Underground Railroad’s southern leg to Mexico with a panel discussion and interactive live-looping workshop, and watch an electrifying performance of select songs from the production! The show goes on with live improv in Steinhart Aquarium from Un-Scripted Theater Company.

Nightlife is supported by Local Motion® Vodka Sodas, light, refreshing, and simply made with vodka, carbonated water, and natural flavors. Grab Local Motion® at all bars throughout NightLife this year.

  • Since first collaborating in 2020, theater artists and musicians Brian Quijada and Nygel D. Robinson poured their passion into researching and co-writing Mexodus. After bringing this powerful story to life on stages in Baltimore and Washington, DC, this dynamic duo is set to captivate the Bay Area with their talents at Berkeley Rep on September 13. This engaging discussion will connect audiences directly with the artists as they share their journey through music, history, and the unifying power of Black and Brown solidarity.
